Mastered Here: Big Daddy Weave – Four Weeks at #1 on R&R Christian AC Chart

Hey party people.  Been a busy few weeks, so not so much blathering on the page here.  Good times, good times.  I hope you’ve missed me.  If not…well.  Ok.

So this is fun.  Big Daddy Weave’s song “Redeemed” is a humongous hit.  It’s high in the iTunes chart for….well…ever, it’s been there for months, and now they’re at #1 on the Radio & Records Christian AC Chart.  That’s fun, right?!?!  I figured you should know.  Of course, I didn’t write the song.  I can’t write a grocery list.  But I sure did master that bad boy, and I gotta say…I’m pretty happy with it.  Maybe you should go check it out on iTunes.

Streaming Free This Week: Stages and Stereos “Anchorless” EP

I’ve carried on here previously about the Stages and Stereos EP that I recently mastered…you may recall.  Well, check this.  The guys are streaming it for free this week at their purevolume.com page.  You can dig on it right HERE.  A little rock for your ear holes.  These are the guys I blathered on about in this BLOG POST about being grabbed by the lyrics.  Seriously.  Dude had his leg blown off by and IED and only survived because he happened to be running.  His story is better than….almost anyone’s.  And it’s in their song “Pressure Under Fire” – you really should check it out.

Here it is kids.  Francesca’s “Christmas” – what a fun record.  It sounds GORGEOUS if I do say so myself, and it actually gets COLDER when you play it!  (It doesn’t actually get colder when you play it)

Out Today: Rio Ville – “Good Morning Dreamer” – You didn’t see this coming from Nashville

I’ve been talking on and off about a project I’ve been working on all summer.  Well.  It’s out today – and it’s good.  I love it.  I listen to it for fun.  It’s available for your steering pleasure (who knows what that’s from?) at The Smoking Section.  They talk a bit about it too.  You should definitely check it out if you’ve got a minute and like inventive music.  He runs the bases of narly hip hop, smooth old soul, acoustic love man and some stuff that’s just not much like anything else I’ve heard.  It’s good fun.  Dig it.  He’s got the FacePage there and the Tweet thing as well.  He’s also just about the nicest guy you’ll ever meet.  That goes a long way doesn’t it?  Sure gets your mastering guy on board with the InterFlogging!

Out Today: Robinson – That acoustic thing I loved so much, and a free song!

Remember a couple weeks ago I was all emo about this acoustic act that barely even existed yet?  Well they exist now, and you can hear what I was all gushy over.  I still like it.  The guys are very nice.  They’re called Robinson and they’ve released their EP, “Fits & Starts” on iTunes.  They’ve also told me that I can link a song here for you to check out, so by all means.  Click the triangle.  Be careful.  It’s full of dynamic range and not all compressed to your mom’s house and back.  You’ll be fine.

Out Today: Karyn Williams “Only You”

Karyn’s awesome voice is coming at ya!  The new album is out today, and it’s a good one. She’s already climbing up the radio charts.  You’ll surely be hearing plenty from her.  Great sounds, great production.  Just great all around.  I’m glad to be a part of it.  From my friends at inpop records.  Always a happy to work with them.  Lots of cool music in their house.
